The short version
Reading WARDOGS Field Manual requires no account, sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and runs no tracking script. The loadout budget planner calculates entirely inside your browser and sends nothing anywhere. Two things do collect data, and both are optional and described below: the feedback form, and the account service behind the “save this setup” control.
What this site stores
| Feature | What is stored | Where | Optional? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reading any page | Nothing | — | — |
| Loadout budget planner | Nothing. All arithmetic runs in your browser | Your device only | Automatic, no data leaves |
| Feedback form | The topic, your message and the submission time, plus a generated reference number | Site operator’s storage | Yes — you choose to submit |
| “Save this setup” on the planner | A title you choose, the tool address and your selected inputs | Sitefarm account service | Yes — requires an account |
| Sitefarm account | Username, salted password hash, a hash of your recovery key, and the creation time | Sitefarm account service | Yes — only if you create one |
The account service does not collect an email address. Passwords and recovery keys are never stored in plaintext. Login sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies with a limited lifetime, and signing out invalidates the sessions for that account.
What this site does not do
- No advertising scripts are loaded. This site is not currently part of any advertising programme, so no ad network tag, no advertising cookie and no third-party ad endpoint is contacted. If advertising is ever enabled, this policy will be updated before it is turned on.
- No analytics or tracking scripts. There is no visitor analytics tag on these pages, and no cross-site tracking pixel.
- No selling of anything. There is no store, no affiliate link, no item or currency sale and no account trading on this site, so there is no purchase data to collect.
- No network requests from the planner. The loadout planner does not call a server, so it cannot send your inputs anywhere even in principle.
Hosting
The site is served as static files by a hosting provider, which necessarily processes ordinary request metadata — such as the address a request came from and the time it arrived — in order to deliver the response and to keep the service available. That processing happens at the hosting layer rather than in this site’s own application, and is subject to the hosting provider’s retention policy.
Requests to the feedback endpoint and the account service are handled by a small application layer that also uses short-lived, hashed rate-limiting keys derived from a request address or an account identifier. Those keys exist to prevent automated abuse and are not used to build a profile of readers.
Your choices
- Use the whole site without an account. Every guide and the loadout planner work without signing in.
- Submit feedback without identifying yourself. The form does not ask for an email address and there is no reply channel attached to it. Feedback records are removed during routine housekeeping rather than kept indefinitely.
- Delete an account and its saved setups from the account page while signed in, which requires the current password. Because there is no email recovery channel, keep the recovery key shown at registration somewhere private: losing both the password and the key means the self-service flow cannot restore access.
- Ask about a feedback record by keeping the reference number the form returns and quoting it on the contact page.
Changes to this policy
This policy is dated at the top of the page and is edited in place when what the site actually does changes, in the same way the game-data pages are. A change that affects what is collected, or that introduces advertising, would be reflected here before it takes effect. Questions about this policy go through the contact page, and the terms of use cover the limits of what the site’s content guarantees.
